So what is Reiki?
We all know that there is a non physical energy that is present everywhere that gives life to every living thing. The Japanese call this energy Ki, the Chinese call it Chi and in most of the western world we know it as the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost.
Many modalities such as Tai Chi, Acupuncture, Meditation, Feng Shui and Yoga are also available to enhance the flow of energy in and around the body.
Reiki (pronounced RAY-key) is a form of hands on healing. Rei means Universal and Ki means Life Force Energy.
When your Ki energy is low because of stress or you’re feeling unhappy and tired, you will be more susceptible to illnesses. Your attitude may be more negative and you might find it difficult to deal with the challenges in life.
Bad habits and poor choices will result in the block of energy flow in the body. Reiki helps unlock the body’s optimum capabilities. When the mind, body and spirit are in harmony, our bodies can heal itself and function correctly. Reiki can stimulate the body’s immune system and natural healing abilities.
Reiki is holistic and it works by energizing and encouraging a person’s own natural ability to get back into balance. Once you receive a Reiki treatment, your body will begin cleansing itself of toxins and as the toxins are removed, you will become re-balanced and your healing process can begin.
What I love most about Reiki is how it works to bring whatever is needed on a holistic level. The best way to understand it is to experience it.
